About Me

My name is Christian Chapman, and I've been drawing since before I could even hold a pencil right. Art's been with me as long as I can remember—it’s not just what I do, it’s how I see the world.

Though I had both high school and college under my belt, most of what I’ve learned came the hard way: by doing. In school, especially art class, I clashed with structure. I didn’t like coloring inside the lines—literally or creatively. I’d skip assignments or do them my own way. What stuck with me more than the lessons were the challenges that pushed me to build my own style, my own voice.

I got serious about art around age 12, and since then it’s been a part of nearly everything I do. If I’m not working, I’m drawing. My family has always been a huge support, and truthfully, just about everyone I come across encourages me in some way. People may not always be buying art, but everyone seems to connect with it—especially when it speaks to something real.

I don’t have one particular art hero I try to mimic, but I’ve always admired artists like Drew Struzan for his legendary movie posters, or Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo for their epic fantasy work. I also appreciate the raw Americana of tattoo pioneers like Ed Hardy and Sailor Jerry—artists who weren’t afraid to define a genre.

When it comes to who I am and what I do, I guess I’d describe myself as a bit of a pilgrim—someone traveling through this world with a deeper purpose in mind. Hebrews 11:14 says it best: "For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland." That scripture has stuck with me. I believe life isn’t just about clocking into some 9–5 until we die. There's more out there—we just have to go look for it.

This belief is at the heart of the art I create.

What I Create

My designs are printed mainly on Gildan t-shirts and hoodies—because let’s be honest, shirts are wearable billboards. They tell people who you are, what you stand for, and sometimes just what kind of humor or grit you carry with you.
